The weather man was wrong and boy did we enjoy being out at the ball park between showers! Tabor had a couple of triples, Tanner made some great plays at shortstop and Dalton had it covered at home plate. We have a busy Saturday planned for us. The boyz are doing a concession stand fundraiser all day to raise money to go to the Augsburg team wrestling camp in June.

Amaizing sites from Hoover Dam and Lake Mead
I took full advantage of the Cargill Spouses program during our trip to Las Vegas. One day the bus took us to beautiful Hoover Dam and a tour of Lake Mead. You don't realize how impressive this man made structure is until you get up close and see first had the massive amount of work that was done. Over and over during the trip they stressed how the Californians were using up their water source and the lake is down over 30 feet for 2009. You can get a better look at the water levels by looking at the color change on the rock walls.
That day we ended our tour at the Ethel M Chocolate Factory! Oh how I thought of Great Grandma Elliott and how Jan would send her those chocolates from Ethel M! Naturally I could not disappoint Great Grandma and I bought a piece of dark chocolate!

Vegas Baby!
Greetings from Las Vegas! Tamara and I arrived on Monday for a IAOM/Cargill convention. The first couple of days the weather was amazing but it began to rain and get cold. We are just heading out to see Jubilee at the Bally's Resort. Some of our favorite spots to visit have been Caesars Place & the Venetian. We ate with our Cargill family on Tuesday night at a wonderful Italian place and then last night we were at an Brazilian Steak restaurant. Maybe tonight we will try our luck gambling. So far this week we have seen Brad Garret from Everybody Loves Raymond & The Kardashian Girls roll into town tonight. The boyz are having a nice week with out their parents home to boss them around. But boyz ........Mom will be home tomorrow and the dishwasher better be empty!

Perfect baseball weather!
Wow has the weather been perfect this week! With all three boyz playing in different locations its hard to get photos of everyone in one day. Tabor's team took 2nd place this weekend at the New Richland tournament. Tanner & Dalton's team took first place in a tournament at LCC this weekend in Le Center. Le Center gave up in 3 innings with the score 21-1. This week the boyz all play in LCWM on Monday then they have a few days off and play at home on Friday night. Tabor's sports marketing class heads to watch a "TWINS" game on Thursday.

Good Bye Blue
Sometimes you don't think of your animals as your family members. But Tabor's buddy Blue was a big part of our family. And sadly she left us yesterday. Blue was not feeling well over the weekend so we took her in on Monday morning to the vet. We quickly learned Blue had a large cancerous mass pressing on her lungs. We can't tell you the countless hunting trips that gave us so many wonderful memories. Our hearts are heavy but we know that she is pain free and chasing pheasants with her hunting buddy Hunter in some place special. We will miss you BooBoo!

Jr High Baseball Game
Baseball got under way this week at Nicollet. Monday nights game at Waterville-Elysian was postponed due to rain but the boyz had a home opener on Thursday night with LCC. Varsity took a spanking loosing 4-11 but JV won by 10. Mom missed both games because she was at a workshop but she found out Dalton took a ball to the mouth at the JV game when she washed his uniform! But good news about Dalton, no broken teeth and the blood all came out of his uniform. Friday, Dalton had his first Jr.High game of the year and they lost a close one 7-8. Every time he was up to bat he got a double and caught the whole game. Jr.High team is back at home on Monday night to face LCWM.

Easter Break
Oh my gosh too busy this week even to get the blog updated! The boyz had a great Easter break from school. We got a lot of yard work done taking out two flower beds and 16 trees! We traveled to the King farm on Saturday and got such a kick out of watching Klohe hunt for Easter Eggs. She is such a big girl now, potty training and the vocabulary that she has is unbelievable. They are a little wet yet to get in the field but it won't be long.
