Today's Scrimmage

Today gave us a quick look at the 2010 Raider Football team. It was a beautiful morning and glad to have a breeze to keep the kids cooled off. Tabor is in the blue practice pants and Tanner is the one carring the ball. Today Dalton was the eye in the sky. Tonight after we finish making salsa we will break down game film from the day and see what we or who we need to work on. We are only 4 days away from the first game. Only fitting that we ended the year on Turf and will begin 2010's season on Turf at GAC. Go RAIDERS!

Busy week of football

Wow we have had one very busy week. Trying to get a few small remodel projects done before school gets started. The boyz have just completed the 2ND week of football practice. The team is still working with some new kids & jr. high coach. Saturday we travel to the Southern Confederacy Scrimmage in Madelia. Then you toss in a little yard work, canning tomatoes, cukes, beans and then wonder where did the time go? We are after Tabor to get a couple of colleges picked out to tour, naturally we will plan them for some Saturdays so we can get in a college football game in. The boyz are only one week away from the 1st football game of the season!

Is he really back??? Buzz Buzz the phones are ringing off the wall at the Elliott's all the boyz are getting text messages and phone calls about Farve. Looks like we are going to bleed purple again.

R U Ready for some FOOTBALL

Well it's the night before football practice. No one can sleep, everyone is excited.......piles of football equipment clutter the family room. Are you ready for some RAIDER FOOTBALL? We all know what happened last year. Just a memory ..........it is time to prepare for the next play.

This week at Training Camp....Top Ten

We thought we share a few tidbits from Vikings training camp this week. Ya know things you didn't hear on the news or ESPN.

#10. They have record number of attending this years camp. ( Tamara & Dalton got in line on Thursday shortly after 7am and they were #400 & #401) Over 6,000 people a day. Viking Villeage opens at 8:30 each day and practice starts at 9.

#9. They have a new drill for the O-Line to do for when AP drops the ball. ( They roll soccer balls at they at a high rate of speed and try to pick them up)

#8. Four no-names, want-a-bee's went out for some Mankato Night life and over indulged on some beverages. So "Chilly" suspends them for 3days. But they still have to be a practice acting as water boys.

#7. A neighbor boy from our town of Campbell is working at training camp. ( Jared Hensch)

#6. Holy cow T-Jack still sucks as a QB

#5. With temps in the 90*'s fans still show up wearing chew-ba-ka suits, paint their faces and scream at the players to get their attention.

#4. Steve Hutchinson has scratched his mosquito bites so badly he has to have a trainer look at them. Hello Hutch~ Dah, have you not been to MN before or heard of west Nile disease?

#3. Yep its true, AP doesn't have to practice if he doesn't want to or sign auto graphs.

#2. In my opinion " Jared Allen" is the man at camp.

#1. The Vikes are still selling #4 fb jersey's at camp.( we are still holding out 4-Farve)

Clean Slate

Yeah! The "Destruction" Company finally came to take the old shed down that fell this spring with the last snowfall. In under 6 hours they had the whole shed gone and leveled the site for our new building. Tabor and Tanner where not home to see it go because they have been do some "destruction" of their own. They where hired by a teacher at school to tear shingles off (Mr.C's home). We all hope this heat and humidity clear out of here!
