Another busy sports week for the Elliott Boyz........

Tanner had a Jr. High meet on Monday night and we are seeing great improvement every time he goes out on the mat.

Tabor is ending the week with having 2 games this week. They have practice every day during break with getting Christmas eve and Christmas day off.

Dalton got to join the Jr. High kids for practice this week but on Tuesday Mom joined the classroom and helped create Gingerbread houses.

Dalton had his 1st wrestling tourney of the year on Sunday afterrnoon. Dalton wrestles in the 5th and 6th grade division in the 112 lbs class. He did very well for his first time ever wrestling. It can be fairly humbling to wrestle against kids who have been wrestling for 7 years at the age of 11. Yes prior to Dalton wrestling they started with the pre-school thru 4th grade matches. It was like watching a bunch of little tazmanian devils whip around the mat, youngest competitor was 4 years old. Dalton placed 4th, but is going to try to get some practice in with the JV to hone his wrestling skills. Next tourney is Jan 13th

Tabor had 4 basketball games last week(2 Thur, Fri and Sat). He is a starter on the C-squad (Freshman Team) and dresses for B-squad. No points yet, he did get a shot off. Tabor is more focused on his defense and rebounding. They are fun to watch, but with Christmas coming 2 wrestlers and a basketball player in the house makes for a lot of miles. Tabor has a game Tuesday night and then a holiday tourney Thursday and Friday after Christmas.

Tanner had his 1st wrestling match on Saturday in Edan Prairie. He was leading 11-4 with less than a minute left in the 3rd period and walked into a half nelson and got pinned. He did great for his 1st time out. Both Dalton and Tanner have a tournament this weekend. And we are going to top this week off with 2 basketball games for Tabor.

Tanner had his Christmas concert on Tuesday night. Mom was unable to get a photo of Tanner in the land of the amazon girls. They grow them tall in Nicollet its hard to find a girl under 5 foot something. It was a great concert, we are still getting use to sitting in theater seats and surround sound.
