The Pond

Sunday we tackled the yard. This hot and humid weather has made for some tall grass & weeds! It was a perfect time to get one of the ponds dug into the south side of the house. All we are missing is the fish. We are going to give it a couple days for "Pete" to get used to having a pond in the yard. ONLY 6 days of school left!

Awards Night at NPS

Last night we celebrated this years students achievements in Academics and Activities. We had Dean Bowyer from Mankato State come and speak on success. This retired coach had over 200 career baseball wins. All three boys received many honors and letters and as AD, Mom handed out all the awards. Tanner was chosen for the "Jay Gappa" award for leadership in wrestling. An award voted on by his peers. We celebrated in the community room with cake and ice cream after the awards.

Back to baseball tonight! Two home games left before the playoffs begin next week. Oh and only 12 days of school left but who is counting!

Beautiful weekend

Dalton finished up his JR High baseball with a tournament on Saturday. Wow it got up to 82*and it was perfect day. It is hard to believe that we are counting down the days until school is out for the summer. ONLY 12 days and the boyz are out for the summer.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!

I got a beautiful hanging impatiens basket along with a "Topsy-Turvey" Tomato planter. Let's just say putting it together was as much fun as wall papering with your husband. But the boyz put it all together and planted tomatoes, peppers & herbs. Tabor cooked supper and we enjoyed a movie " Percy Jackson".

With Darin gone this week in California we agreed we would take turns sitting in his recliner;) Darin called tonight to complain that the weather was cold only 64* and a cool breeze off the ocean. Boo Hoo! It is going to freeze again tonight and I just hope we don't loose all the cherry blossoms off the trees.

Looks like we won't get much baseball in this week with all the rain forcasted. Only three more Monday's left in the school year. Then it's drivers training for the middle child, camps and time on the lake.

NPS PROM

Today is Tabor's Jr. Class Prom! Naturally, the boyz kept picking on Tabor about his date prior to leaving. Tabor borrowed one of Mom's co-workers convertible and it's too bad the weather wasn't nicer. Kandace and Tabor are making the rounds for pictures and will be back at Grand March at 4:30. Dinner reservations at Whiskey River in St.Peter are at 6 and dance starts at 8:30.

At the POPS concert

Last night we had the boyz last concert of the school year. The band preformed a outstanding version of "Thriller" by Michal Jackson and the Choir did one our my favorites "Lean on Me". We had a huge standing room only crowd. It's hard to get a good picture of Dalton he is hide way in the back of the band.
